I will leave for Korea in exactly three weeks so I was thinking that I mine as well reek the benefits of living in rich suburban neighborhood as much as possible. At the same time look back at my upbringing with a good look and nice blog entry about what it is like to live as whitest but yellowiest girl to enter the millennium and into her twenties, twenty one in three weeks too. Whoa!

            But living so white and even living with a step father who is partially Italian gives me the right to tell you about all the stereotypes, the myths, and complete lies about what being yellow is all about. And here it is……

1. We Do Not Eat Cats and Dogs

If I had a friend or acquaintance that was American and asked me one single question that their little ignorant mind had to ask it was concerning this. Now this topic also comes up if I offered them any food of any kind including American food I might of made. What I have to tell you is that the majority of the Asians frown upon this “cuisine.” In fact Koreans, Chinese and Japanese will each eat a field of rice before they touch a leg of a dog or cat, and I am not lying. We, Asians eat more rice than fruit, meat, or anything.

      However there are exceptions. Mostly the old or the very cold hearted will try and like dog or cat, that’s including my grandmother who has tried dog. Yes, I tell this to every American friend I meet so I can scare them and tell them I want to take care of their cats.

1. We Are All From North Korea Who Wants To Kill You and Nuke You to Death

Another retarded comment that Americans seem to say when I meet them is this topic. I do not understand how many people think all the Koreans come from North Korea when Kim Jong Ill is making Nukes every five seconds and threatens the United States. It is all over the news all the time yet people still think that people come out of North Korea.

            NO ONE comes out of North Korea or comes in, and if you do you are restricted by the nazis police of North Korea. You also might be a prisoner or someone captive within this distopian society.

1. We Are All Good At Math

Not all of Asians are good at math, you know why?  I am proof !

I hate math with a passion!!

However I will admit most and majority is excellent at math but not just because they are smart. Most Koreans and Asians are great at math because their parents are crazy about their education. From the moment you are one or less than one they will make you, I mean make you, learn your alphabets and numbers. Then once your in school they make you go to Hagons, or after school programs to make your LEARN. I mean strict learning. The worst part is that these parents will shell out close to 500 dollars or more for these after school programs so their child might excel. “excel” because most of these kids hate it and I don’t blame them.

So if your just stupid and lazy you have no place in the Korean world.

1. Don’t Make Fun Of Our Eyes Because We WILL Get Surgery For Wider Eyes

This surgery that I don’t feel like looking up the name of, is very common. In fact, my mom has gotten it and every one of my Korean friends has gotten it done. But every time I mention getting it to my American friends I get the same response, don’t get it and I agree. It is demeaning for my race and every other Asian race to go under the knife because of stereotypes. I know beauty is of high value but I also believe in myself.

It is shocking to me that my mom and a lot of Koreans do not find it offensive that they would take a laser to their eye to appease the more American look. Although controversial to me it might not be to other.

1. Asian Men Do Not Have Small Dicks

Oh dear, so I was having a good time with this Korean guy and then I saw his you know and it was eight inches. Oh my. ……………………………

And I had a good time

No totally joking, I do not know this stereotype because I am too yellow. Well I hope to find out it is a myth.
