Heeeeeere's Sammy!

Is this a 21st century family thing? Instead of the kid getting his first car or first job, they get their first blog?

OK, Sam already had his own blog, but I encouraged him to give this place a try. He's writing about video games, so it shouldn't attract the kind of nastiness that seeps through here on a regular basis. And if it does, he's a big boy. He can handle himself.

Not that he doesn't appreciate my ability to, um, "motivate" others when necessary. When I was talking to him about his Nana's hospital misadventures and my need to raise a little hell to get things happening, he just said, "Try not to make anybody cry, Mom."

Enough about me, though. If you have a second, go check out my son's Open Salon page. Welcome him into the fold. He's one of the good guys, I promise.

Thanks, Stellaa. He's a good writer and what he said he really wanted to write about was video games. Which means he's also a young adult male in 21st century middle-class America!
I hope he finds the interaction to his liking. Gaming is in a different universe for me though. I looked in and saw he had acquired some meaningful commentary. Congrats and go Sammy!
Thanks for taking a peek, Stacey. Like many others, I used to try and alert folks to new writers, but I would not commonly promote video game reviews, of course. But this one is different for obvious reasons :)
A great addition to the fold, Susan. Hope he likes it!
Hi, Susan! It's good to see you....xox
Hi Donna. He's heard me rant enough, but given his relatively non-controversial area of interest, maybe he won't attract a lot of trolls.

Hi Robin. I still stop by from time to time, but honestly, I am unpleasantly overloaded with work mostly, plus some "life stuff" so... I can't do much else :(
