There was a beautiful garden that was marked so you would be able to know the varieties.

Even some of the early rhododendrons were contributing tremendous color.

Most of these photos are from the RoozenGaarden and were taken on my iPhone on March 27th.   RoozenGaarde: A Division of Washington Bulb Co., Inc. sells the bulbs that you see in the labelled photos.

Eyeball buffet, except that you cannot possibly take too much, and you feel great afterward. Thanks for inviting me!
It was gorgeous and even an complete neophyte with shaky hands and a new iPhone could manage a few good shots.

Thanks for coming by.
Suzanne, this brings back very happy memories for me, since it was at this tulip festival in Skagit Valley exactly six years ago that I first saw a litter of puppies brought down by a breeder from British Columbia that contained the great love of my life, my Havanese puppy Sweetie. I love that tulip festival. Thanks for these wonderful photographs.
It was really surprising to Aidan, who hadn't ever seen anything like this before. It was a perfectly comfortable day outside too, so there was not anything to get in the way of enjoying the experience. The next day it rained and rained. Timing is everything sometimes!
Ohhh Susanne the Tulip Festival. i havn't been there in years even though I don't live too far. The crowds didn't look too bad this year and I heard the tulips bloomed early. thanks so much for the gorgeous pictures.
Wow, so much color already! Wasn't it just last year the tulips didn't even open till the festival was almost over...need to get up there soon. Thanks for the great photos, Susanne, and the inspiration!
Hey PNW ladies, its the end of the long dark time and the flowers are dancing under the trees!

Thanks for coming by. I might go back for some other part of the festival later in the month.
You did a great job capturing one of the Northwest's finest times of the year. The bulbs in bloom are incredible. Good work....
Gorgeous Suzanne! We're going to try to go on Wednesday with the girl. It's spring break and it's something I can see from the car, maybe even get out with my walker if it's not too muddy.

Looks like you had great company!

P.S. I found out the 'reptile man' my daughter saw was the same guy with the museum in Monroe. I saw the pictures - there was some funky stuff there. The Bug loved it!
