Thanks. I am going to have to share it with someone, we are going to Portland Friday morning to get our grandson and bring him here for the month.

It is delicious in a lighter kind of way. Not nearly so much sugar is necessary with Raniers.
The first phoyograph looks like a still life painting - it's so beautiful ! ~R
"photograph", that is . . .
I love rainier cherries...but am sometimes indifferent to the overly sweet taste of cherry pie.

however, your pie does look like it might be an exception to this rule....yum....
I'm with you on that overly sweet thing that some folks call cherry pie. This is more like peach or apricot because of the natural sweetness of the cherries, and thus, an altogether more wholesome and bright taste.
What a lucky man! This looks outrageous. I want some when I come over to the West side, so freeze a couple of them.
I am picking them still each morning from a secret tree on my walks with Fred. Fred likes cherries very much.
oooooooooooo *&%^$$%^&-ing la la now i won't sleep (r.)
Cherry pie is my very favorite. Thought I'd find a recipe, instead a luscious picture...that makes me hungry. Rats! :)
