The hotel chain ‘Holiday Inn’ in the UK has begun offering their customers a bed warming service. In light of the recent cold snap that has left the usually mild and soggy Britain gasping for breath and shivering in its wellies, the hotels thought it would be a nice step to help lonely travelers nod off at night.
You see, according to Dr Chris Idzikowski of the Edinburgh Sleep Centre, evidence shows that sleep starts when a person’s body temperature begins to drop. So, getting into a cold bed completely buggers things up for the 40 winks process.
Not a big deal you may say. Well no, not a big deal at all if the hotel staff were just popping into your room to turn on an electric blanket or install a hot water bottle to get the bed at a reasonable temperature to not upset the delicate body temp.
However, staff at the Holiday Inn’s Kensington Hotel in London will be doing no such thing. On the contrary, these over zealous and dedicated individuals will be going above and beyond the call of duty by donning a full body sleeper suit and getting into your bed! Yes, you read that correctly. For a full five minutes before you tuck yourself in you can have a complete stranger in your bed making it nice and toasty for you.
I’ve booked myself in. Seriously, I can’t wait to have someone lay in my bed filling it with their hair, skin, smell and gas (they may have eaten something that doesn’t agree with them - you never know do you?). That’s just the thing to encourage a peaceful nights’ sleep!

This should be in News of the Weird.
Maybe Holiday Inn is run by some History buff.
Thanks for the info though, I didn't know that.
