As we all know that windows 7 one of the upcoming operating system from,in going to be released for in the market on 22 October.
there are several features in windows 7,such as jump list , Xp mode feature and virtual wifi and many more.

But one of the feature, that was focused in windows 7 operating system was Power management .

now a days there has been majority of people are using laptops,so there power management has become a prominent feature, which needs to be improved.

Operating system plays vital aspect for power management power management is dependent on application and processes running in the computer .

In windows 7 power management is under Power Options in the control panel as it was there in windows vista.

in the windows 7 the developers has focusing on reducing the idle power consumption and supporting new  device power modes.

Windows 7 is also focusing on improving core processor power management the power consumption based on the use of processor usage.

USB devices and their impact of energy consumption has not been forgotten. Developers also tried to reduce the power consumption even is case of power consumption .

windows 7 runs with fewer background activities , so that the processor does not need much of power, other aspects are less power-hungry DVD playback, automatic screen dimming,power off unused ports,and more accurate power battery life indicator.
