It is rather a given that many people love the movies from Disney Pixar – no matter what their ages are, and many different people have what they would call “favorites”.  For this reason, it would be tough to sort out what would be the Top Disney Pixar movies from a personal standpoint – however, in terms of overall popular demand for a set time period, there is such a thing as the “Top Disney Pixar” movies – and here they are for 2010:

1.     Disney Pixar Up – This is truly an entertaining movie for both children and adults.  The story is based on a retired balloon man who is determined to go against the rules he's being forced to follow and take the ride of his life.

2.    Disney Pixar Toy Story – A classic Pixar animated film that has been around for quite some time is still topping the charts as one of the most loved (and purchased) movies for families.  It is a darling story and is always good for a chuckle – or twenty!

3.    Disney Pixar Toy Story 2 – This is (as you may have guessed) the sequel to the first Toy Story, and with a unique story behind it, it is just as entertaining as the first movie.  Some of the characters are the same, some are new.

4.    Disney Pixar Monsters Inc. – This is a story about what sometimes kids have nightmares about – monsters residing in the closet!  A “portal” that brings two worlds together where the monsters are not actually “bad guys” at all – at least not most of them.

5.    Disney Pixar Finding Nemo – A “little boy” clown fish yearns for more personal freedom and unfortunately finds himself in a tough situation as a result.  An adorable movie, with unbelievable graphics that alone make the movie worth watching.

6.    Disney Pixar Cars – A world where the cars are “people”, the restaurants are gas stations and the shoe stores are actually tire shops!  But – that description does not do this movie justice.  It is one of the most amusing and creative stories and is especially loved by the little “young men” among us.

7.    Disney Pixar Wall-E – Here is perhaps the most thought provoking movies in the Pixar lineup in terms of its theme, and is also one of the cutest “robot love stories” ever.  Very sweet, and like the other movies from Disney Pixar is more than just a little bit fun to watch.

8.    Disney Pixar Ratatouille – What if….  A rat who loves only the finest cuisine, and has better mastery of his cooking skills than just about any chef in the entire world?  A very cute theme.

9.    Disney Pixar The Incredibles – In my opinion, this movie is probably more fun to watch for adults than kids since there are a few general ideas within the movie that grown ups can relate to quite well!  But – also a fun movie for kids, generally involving a family of superheroes living among society secretly.

10.    Disney Pixar Short Films – Although this is not a “movie” by definition, it most definitely should be included in this “top” list, especially due to the fact that it is quite a popular DVD!  This set of short films includes some of the characters from the movies given above as well as some unique characters and stories.  Extremely funny, and is a good movie to watch if you really need some good laughs.
