My Life in the Territories
the Idol of Byzantium
- Location
- Hebron, Palestinian Territories (yes, I know it isn't technically a country)
- Birthday
- May 20
- Bio
- Young American woman living and working in the Palestinian Territories. Have also lived in Israel proper and maintain contact with friends there. Occasional writer. Wannabe-competent understander and user of Arabic (Standard and Palestinian) and Hebrew (Modern Israeli). Interested in Middle Eastern history (but not in bitter protracted arguments, thanks--besides, I'm mostly interested in stuff that happened like 900 years ago, not that you can't argue till the sheep come home about that), and in culture, literature, and ideas in general. Agnostic, and not shopping. Likes caffeine, good-lookin' boys, wine, and white cake. Cooks with spices. Kicks ass and takes names.
