Bio
I attune to the power of words, how they are used, spoken, and written.  Some things I refuse to write about, because therein is a painful memory, or a sweet so much that a tear falls yet again. The very process of writing to me is to possess.  To embrace.  To touch. And the fact of it - the writing itself - makes it all the more indelible, so concentrated upon, and the piece of spirit that emerges was the point of doing the piece in the first place, but you did not know that when you began.

The Crux of the Femme

The Crux

This is a pretty horrific graphic, but accurate. I had to blow it up to see the detail. Amid the debris at her feet are some of the articles of contraception and backwoods abortion that have been banned, recalled, or otherwise found to be killing people. Oops. The whole picture made me ask questions. --- Like, well, once they get us all corralled and branded, umm.. ...just WHAT do they propose they do with us next?  Seems in the history it would be one of two choices. If they don't cauterize and sterilize us, thereby rendering them in dire need of new populace to vote for them eventually, then it would go to Plan B, which would be to make reproduction factories out of us, giving even more people the need to be cared for. Does anyone running even consider the power of Cause & Effect? It appears to me that these two choices of Result are shoved under the covers, along with every other issue, in the mad race to Win. Win. At any or all cost. Win what?  I mean..really. Any "win" in this arena would certainly be a hollow one.

So, I went ahead and put this here, even though I don't usually dabble in my political voice, private to me, but it really terrifies me.  Also, I am not a huge Gaga fan, but I like that this is so brutally over the top, this re-rendition of her popular song.  It is hard to think of we women as having talons, but -- I get it.  We are, all of us, beautiful birds.  Why boys want to cut our wings off is an eternal mystery to me.

Songbird, you've got my vote. I hadn't seen the video before, nice.
The politics are getting crazy aren't they.
You might want to check out Seth James short fiction story he wrote this week. It is somewhat along the lines of your comments.

Hidey, Limb. Wow, thanks for the vote with us, my friend; we need men like you on our side. And thanks muchos for the link, another wonderful man, who took the time to show the love that can be had in that great story. The very story that may well have been my own daughter's. It wasn't, fortunately, but it is another Mother's daughter, for sure.
Wow! This should be on the front page. Thank you for these brilliant glimpses into your mind. I am sure it must be satisfying to be you (and what a graphic). R
Heydey, Thoth -- you too. It means a lot to me to have you guys weigh in here. As I said, I usually keep my politics to myself, but .. damn. And you always seem so .. calm, together, so the same back at'cha - must be super to be you. Love your support - don't stop.
Just say no...you have the majority!
Heey, TG -- It's a true fact, ain't it buddy. Thanks for sharin', feels good. Speech is reach.
Why do you suppose 'THEY" are afraid to get a woman in office?
Great read. Let it all hang out baby. :-)
Aaaah, yaaaas, I can hear WC Fields now, Ila... Oozing sarcasm. The big They. It is like a Neon to me. I am standing on a rooftop in NYC, midnight, havin' a smoke, and the words are backwards, but bright-shiny. There. Present. "National Women's Party." What is that address, please?
