Influential cleric al-Sadr calls on politicians to reject draft plan
What does the current incendiary situation in Iraq, as of today 10/18/08, make clear as to the constant gloating and bragging from John McCain about the "success of the surge" having brought "peace," and confirming his glorified military judgment, strategy, tactics, knowledge, wisdom, and qualifications for leading the USA and this world with changes for a better future?
Which everyone should accept for overriding the fact that with his 'military judgment, strategy, tactics, knowledge and vision,' McCain voted to go to war in Iraq in the beginning, while Obama was one of the few who voted against going to war in Iraq, which could have avoided any desperate measure "surge" because there would not have been, or be, this war in Iraq, with no desirable end, reasonably or logically foreseeable.

BAGHDAD - Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on Saturday called on Iraq's parliament to reject a U.S.-Iraqi security pact as tens of thousands of his followers rallied in Baghdad against the deal.
The mass public show of opposition came as U.S. and Iraqi leaders face a Dec. 31 deadline to reach agreement on the deal, which would replace an expiring U.N. mandate authorizing the U.S.-led forces in Iraq.
Al-Sadr's message was addressed to Iraqi lawmakers and read by his aide Sheik Abdul-Hadi al-Mohammadawi before a huge crowd of mostly young men waving Iraqi and green Shiite flags and chanting slogans including "no, no to the agreement" and "yes to Iraq."
'Do not betray the people'
"If they tell you that the agreement ends the presence of the occupation, let me tell you that the occupier will retain its bases. And whoever tells you that it gives us sovereignty is a liar," al-Sadr said. "I am confident that you brothers in parliament will champion the will of the people over that of the occupier ... Do not betray the people."
The demonstrators marched from the main Shiite district of Sadr City to the more central Mustansiriyah Square in eastern Baghdad.

I awoke this morning with an incredible sense of astonishment about how astonished I was with the clarity of understanding that I, seemingly suddenly had, about how this all adds up, and was so absolutely predictable, by so many over the course of human history from ancient times to now, in all of the aspects, effects and such, of these "convoluted...threads" for this transitional phase we are in. I real-I-zed that the most astonishing view of the matter was that I was sitting there quietly with no hang over from or influence of any ingested drug, of any sort, not angry, fearful, upset or disturbed in any way at that time, and wu wei, this is what being here on this tiny planet is like during the time of this Great Galaxtic Cosmological Evolutionary Shift. Although I, like many others, have thought about, researched, studied about, written about, and so on for all of this lifetime, still The Real Deal EXPERIENCE is beyond all of that.
tt now seems to me not "like a ball of twine that CAN'T be unravelled" but 'like a ball of twine that HAS TO be unravelled' in order to clean house, so to speak, and clear the way that allows for correction of the accumulated root causes of the present imbalances. Which CAN NOT be done, as attributed to Albert Einstein, by "Doing the same things over and over (in the same ways) and expecting a different results" politically, economically, care taking and respect for the elements of the environmental elements, education, spiritual knowledge and wisdom in general and overall. I know YOU know all of this, we just have to re-mind each other as needed.
The best part of all is that beyond the necessity ot the "flush it to hell" cleansing process with more inescaplble pain, suffering, sacrifices, confusion and such than we would prefer, is the attainable experience of enstasy -"(ENS-tuh-see) The state of ecstasy experienced while remaining fully within the body and senses." A term coined by Mircea Eliade for altered states achieved in the practice of Tantra. I testify to that.
