Okay, this is the link to Ella's Dogster.com page.: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/48882
There you can see Ella's baby pictures. She was 2 pounds and literally all ears. The red sweater is the first one I ever made her. That Halloween I knit a thick black one for her and put little chains around her tiny body, and she went as a biker babe. I will add Cocoa's puppy pics if I can figure out how. She was 4 lbs. and chi/min pin/dachshund, looked like a tiny chocolate lab in her very mixed litter, and my heart melted.
So these are my current and past puppies/service dogs. Princess Diana was a rescue; I was told she was 8 but she was 12 and had been dropped repeatedly by her elderly owner who subsequently went into a nursing home. P.Di was a mess. Maybe 3 teeth, crooked spine, constant pain, and she was so emotionally bereft and heartbroken to lose her home. She lasted a year and a half, and broke my heart again so soon after I had lost my Good Willa Hunting. You can read my bio to find out more about Willa, the other senior I rescued. (You can barely see her on the couch, wrapped up with my good bathrobe.)
That's me 10 lbs. heavier and brunette in the Spot photo. Now I'm every shade of red that you can find on the haircolor shelves and, of course, it is never the right shade, the colors I see on celebrities on tv but they don't do their own color in their ancient color-coded bathrobe so whatever. You can also see the various weights and hair length that I've been/had over the years. But please focus on my prozac on paws. They are the sweet beauties in this family.

Hope you enjoy, DOG LOVERS, and feel free to tell me how fabulous my girls are.
Oh, shit, I just had roasted rosemary cold chicken (day old so marked down way below cost of raw chicken!!!) and a tangerine with my pups. They love oranges too and baby carrots. Hope they are not too bad for them. I remembered that I didn't include my standup take on my dogs.
Okay, I have two prozac on paws: walking medicine, if you will. I'm allowed to have two because I am so fucked up. Our story is the Tale of Three Spayed Females since I have a hysterectomy and we're all fixed. I call it a Platonic Lesbian Interspecies Relationship. My dogs are very political, just like my vibrator, and insist on being called Canine-Americans, insisting that they want their props too. They are pretty militant about it and it can get a bit old, nagging every time I call them dogs instead. They are gay for real and can't shut up about Prop 8. I've asked them to leave me alone and go watch Rachel Maddow instead, but they say they've finally found their "voices" and have a right to express their views, not just watch someone else do it. I so wish they'd read more, but I'm perenially guilty from being agoraphobic and not walking them enough, so I don't nag.
If you like dogs and/me, please RATE this. I love you all and so do the Wonderpups, shoot, C-As.

That's how fabulous they are.
Love me some doggie photos. Never get enough.
(rated)!
as for weight fluctuations - between gaining a pound a month for the past 50 months (do the math!) and then bf TOTALLY shrinking any article of clothing i bought in the past year, when i go to see my rather successful writer friend this weekend, i shall be commemorating the coldest weekend of the year, by wearing DRESSES bc that's all i have that fits anymore!
pardon my rant. but talk of weight is a "hot button" issue for me right now.
ps - umm, what does your vibrator like to be called?
Monte
Their eyes are just so ... oh my gosh!
My ex-dog (and by that I mean it was my es-husbands dog, whom I would have loved to kept - the dog, NOT the ex) ... had those same "shoot me in the heart and call me yours" eyes.
Tangerines? Hmmm. I know chicken is okay, haven't heard anything about citrus (yet). Just found out that grapes are bad for dogs (ex-dog LOOOOOOOVED them).
If we were closer, I'd suggest a play-date with my rescue, and your girls.
Dogs are more like children than children. And always more loving. Only get a dog if you like broken hearts. We both rescue dogs -- and our hearts are often broken beyond repair. Like today -- say Fare Thee Well to Vinchento (Vinny) 9, Harley 8, Karma 16 3/4, and Nickle 4.
Miz Maggie is still going strong at 20, 21 June 6. A rescue who made it, a black Malamute when rescued at 5 and who is now all gray with a black strip and will probably outlive me -- I hope.
I love all things doggie. These dogs rock!!! Pups are sweet.
My rescue dog Misopn is doing fabulous. There are too many dogs in shelters right now and everyone should consider rescue dogs first and formost when getting a new pet.
Why are we sterilizing all the wrong creatures?
if you get a chance, have a look at Mungular's post about her dogs. or you may have already looked; either way she's a card-carrying member of the OS puppy-fancier society. rated.
There seems to be a lot of cat people on OS. More puppy pictures are needed.
desert -- my heart is broken too now. 4 dogs put down in a day? you've experienced some very dark things, my friend.do you know about best friends sanctuary, shown on ngeo channel, called Dogtown. they take in the worst of the worst, the most hopeless: michael vicks' dogs, the ones shelters are about to kill, dogs with severe health problem. i sob every time and i rejoice that this heaven exists.
over and out for now.
My upstairs neighbour broke up with her boyfriend, and she and her gorgeous and wonderful Samoyed moved away. sigh. I loved, loved, loved that dog! He was my favourite dog friend, ever; and the former neighbour said I was definitely in the dog pack, sort of like the dog's aunt (who spoiled him). I went to her place for a bbq in the summer, and her dog was just so excited to see me. She said she never saw her dog react so much for anyone else. btw, she told me when she was breaking up with her boyfriend that she realized she loved the dog more than she loved him!
Your pups are adorable and you are hysterical. From one dog (and cat--I'm bi-species-al) lover to another.
Cool that you were on the cover of Spot.
Triple Bumpity! And so rated for awesome paws!
If I ever tire of Cavaliers (Hah!) it'll be doxie rescues for sure.
