What The Wise Guise is meant to be is a place for us to get together and discuss the things we love and are passionate about, in a hopefully entertaining way. Think of it as a virtual MacLaren’s Pub, The Max, or Monk’s Café. We each love writing. We each have a propensity to become addicted to varied corners of culture. So we figured… why not join forces?! Think Super 8, where Spielberg, Abrams, Coach Eric Taylor, and the sassiest adolescents since The Sandlot joined forces. We don’t want to create another website full of people who think they have all the answers about everything from comprehensive tax reform and college football to TV quality and Kardashian cup sizes (the latter two not always being mutually exclusive). We’re not the Huffington Post. The Wise Guise is merely a place for us to post some opinions and observations, while collecting your feedback. The name “The Wise Guise” derives from the idea that so many bloggers feel the need to assert their self proclaimed expertise. They try to give the appearance of wisdom when, more often than not, they just use controversy to get their name out there. We have no “unnamed” sources and again, we don’t claim to be experts. We come more from the line of people who wish they were experts but have real jobs. Well, some of us have real jobs… sometimes. You can also follow us on Twitter @TheWiseGuise!

Peep Show Netflix Streaming Suggestions: Part Ten

Welcome to Part Ten! I think you all know the drill by know so we’ll just get to it. This also might be my last week to do these but if you want me to keep going leave me a comment and let me know!

1. The Bicycle Thief- Just watch the trailer. I don’t think it can be over hyped but if possible the trailer certainly does all it can to over hype it!

2. Bonnie and Clyde- One of my all-time favorite movies. I could watch Bonnie and Clyde every day I’m pretty sure. I also secretly want to marry Bonnie.

3. Cave of Forgotten Dreams- I saw this one in theaters and I’m not sure it fully kept my attention for the whole duration as I had hoped but this is certainly more of an experience than a film. Also, for those of you keeping score at home this is my third Werner Herzog suggestion.

4. Exit Through the Gift Shop- Truly fascinating documentary. Enough said.

5. Peep Show- I started this series about a week ago and have nearly already finished it. Part of that is my love for half hour comedies, the other part is that this is a really funny show. It’s pretty unique in that it’s mostly all shot in first person and reveals the characters thoughts (which definitely makes the show).
