One of the first blogs I started following over a year ago is this man’s journey. If you haven’t read his blog before, it is a beautiful and a must-read.  Much of the blog is inspirational and depicts this man’s journey as an immigrant into the United States.  He does this with beauty, grace, depth and gorgeous touching words and photos. I’m not the only one who has come to love his blog. He has a very large following!

Recently, this man’s journey began a weekly image of happiness series.  Last week’s theme was “fun in the sun“. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it as I’ve discovered that having the kids out of school for the summer is extremely busy and tiring. My time for blogging, advocacy work and anything else in my life is extremely limited.  My blogging and reading of blogs is all done either very early morning, randomly at the park or after the sun has set of course with a glass of wine!

But today I decided to have fun with this theme and took some pictures while we were at the beach on my favorite lake. Another fellow blogger I’ve recently began following, iPhone Photographer, has given readers some excellent, fun tips on the latest and greatest iPhone apps out there for photography.  Most recently, he recommended FilterMania2 and I’ve enjoyed playing around with its fun, unusual filters.  Today was one of them….
