This post is a combination of two photo challenges that just so happened to work brilliantly together at the same time. The Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong and Ailsa of Where’s my backpacks‘ travel theme signs.
I was feeling like my blog needed a little bit of humor instead of dwelling on all the social issues in this world that are wrong and unjust. Yes, I could have posted on the left-behind plastic shoe I saw along the rugged trail up a volcano in Guatemala worn by a local Mayan woman on the hike. Or I could had featured a photo of a beggar sitting outside a majestic Antiguan church. Throughout my travels, I’ve seen much that is right and much that is wrong. That is what I always aspire to write about here on my blog.
But today I felt like I needed a little laugh. After all, I am getting ready to board a plane to France in two hours for a week-long hike, after laying in bed sick for the last four days and dropping a five pound jar on my pinkie toe nearly breaking it. Then I drove over the drain pipe attached to our house and smashed it while the kids laughed in the back seat. Ok. I’m a little stressed today hence my need for humor.
Without further ado, here is the wrong sign that I saw while recently walking around the lake. Thankfully I had just downloaded my new “311 Minneapolis” app on my iPhone and reported it live on the spot. I tried not to laugh at the graffiti but sometimes a good laugh helps lighten things up.
Wrong. Sign.
