After a transatlantic flight to Europe, we wound up in Geneva with a four hour layover until proceeding to France. We were starving and found an outdoor cafe in Old Geneve, where we sat outside munching on pizza and watching the world go by. Incredibly jet lag and out of sorts, we heard an insanely loud rumble overhead. It was almost as if we were being attached. Had I not lived in Chicago and went to the annual Air and Water Show where I heard the fighter planes fly overhead, I would have had a heart attack.
I rose from my seat and peered into the sky above and this is what I saw…completely out of the blue. The contrast between the fighter jets and the old buildings of Old Geneva were quite impressive. I love this shot!
