Previously on Linc: Linc has heard voices since he was a kid, but they’re not what they seem. He can hear other people’s thoughts, but the ability has left him friendless and homeless. A mysterious corporation, Genetitech, tracks him down and offers to train him to use his skills. He soon learns that there are others with strange power like him, and when Genetitech is raided he is forced to go onto the run with one of them.

"That's not what I hear," Moira said and headed up the dock.
"That's really not the point," Moises said and followed after her.
"What about Eva?" Linc asked, still standing by the boat.
"You can carry her up if you like," Moira replied without looking back.
Linc looked down and Eva. He knew there was no way that he was going to be able to carry her by himself, but he also wasn't too excited about being left behind. He supposed that she wasn't likely going to get into too much trouble out here by herself, but it probably wasn't worth the risk. He'd hate to think that the gunmen would wake up run off with her again. Meanwhile, while he was doing all this thinking, Moira and Moises were disappearing into the dark.
"I'll just wait here then," Limc said to their backs, "with the boat."
"See you later," Moises said.
Remembering the near disaster on the other side of the river, Linc stepped carefully into the boat. Glancing over at Eva, he sat down in the driver's seat and played with the steering wheel. He was glad that he hadn't gone inside with them, he could use the rest and he didn't really want to see any of the gunman again, knocked out or not. Now that he was no linger moving, the fatigue was setting in again so he leaned his head forward and let his eyes rest. In what seemed like only a few seconds later he was woken up by the sound of Moira and Moises's voices. Before he was fully cognizant, the boat jarred back and forth as the two of them stepped in it.
"Nice work guarding the boat," Moises said, slapping him on the back.
