Milwaukie Sunday Farmers Market

One of the coolest Saturday and/or Sunday Farmers' Market is the one in Milwaukie, Oregon.  Yes, you have the spelling right..ie instead of ee.


Milwaukie is a Frog's Hair distance from Portland (the next place south) and is a fairly small community...but they don't think small.

You're in for a treat if you visit Schreiner's Iris Gardens 3625 Quinaby Road Northeast in Salem, Oregon.  It kind of borderlines Brooks, Oregon and is right off the I5 Freeway.

The Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. is not the largest in the world, but has one of the best displays on the planet.

I hope one day you get the time to visit them. It's a cool way to spend a day!

The Tillamook Air Museum don't have just any "old-run-of-the mill" aircraft...they have super cool ones like the Navy's Vought F4U Corsair shown below!

Snowball Trees

We are fortunate to have a large Snowball Tree in our backyard.  Unfortunately, the blossoms come in the springtime and go away super fast, so you have to enjoy them while you can.

Took some photos of the Blue Heron Paper Mill and the West Linn Paper Mill from atop the Oregon City Promenade. The Blue Heron Mill is no longer running and is being salvaged.

Rhododendrons

Rhododendrons (Rhodies) are in full bloom and fade fast so you have to savor them and photograph them when you can.

These shots were taken real early in the morning on the Oregon City Promenade.  Most of the Rhododendrons there have been there for awhile and are huge.

Azaleodendrons

 Azaleodendron Azaleodendrons are, in a nutshell for folks that don't know a cross between an azalea and a rhododendron.  Since they grow in my yard I didn't have to go far to photograph one.
