Why I Erased I Don't Hate Fags...But.

Rate: 15 Flag

I erased two blogs today. Both were well deserved rants but I hated opening up my post listing and seeing these angry letters there. I stand by every argument I made and am making no apology but I didn't like living with all that trash in the middle of the living room floor. I feel like they served their purpose and am happy to let them go now before they become a monument to ignorance and anger.

To all involved I would like to say this. I hope you find peace in your endevors here and in the world. I hope that the strife and discord that we played out here briefly leave you and that you find a quiet spot in your heart from which you can look out in pride and wish  the best for all people. None of us  in this world can demand love. The only love we control is that which we give out. So here is some from me. I wish you the best.

Well said. I was not involved in either post but felt some of the anger and frustration generated. I salute you for this post and for the reconciliation and moving on that it can represent.

Monte
It's funny you should be the first to comment since it was a visit to your playing for change blog that made me do it. Blessed are the peacemakers. Look for my next post where I tell of a recurring rabbit dream which has very much to do with all of this. Thanks Monte for being you.
There is a time for loud ranting and for quiet being. Both are equally passionate and real.

Thank you for pointing this out and sharing it with us.
Tijo - you done good - both the erased and the erasing. I admire the way you follow your gut and your heart with intensity and passion. Blessings.
I didn't even get to see the posting. It takes time for me to sift through all the reading materials on OS. I understand why you felt you had to remove your writing, but that means folks like me get to miss out on your ruminations.
Dicea, Owl, Just thought I'd clean up that big puddle of Ire before I slipped in it and fell on my ass.
Jon, I don't want to say I am sorry that you missed the previous post because I can't regret removing it but I do wish that the arguments that were made in it were still around to be seen. Perhaps I'll write them up from a more positive perspective and put them back out there. First though is a good post on the way about the two story rabbit and the Mayberry bank robbers. I hope you'll come back when I post it.
As is often the case---Monte said it best!
i missed the posts you're talking about, though i was aware of them. but all i need to do is read this one to realize you're a really good person. way to go tijo.
Ai, you're a better man than me, Tijo, but that's not really saying much. If you post often enough the garbage just kinda' disappears somewhere.

Rabbits or Rabbis?
I understood the rant and now I understand the need to remove it. There are some people in my life I just don't engage anymore because the argument is not worth it -it never goes anywhere worthwhile.
I wish I had thought to say this. But I do believe we shouldn't have to cave to the loudly opinionated (and some assholes) who don't happen to agree. Freedom of expression works both ways. Somebody doesn't like what you have to say, their problem, NOT yours. As with TV, they don't have to watch. Still, love the love.
Brie, sweet and simple that's kinda nice too.

ChicagoGuy, Yes he does. He's like an open window in a stuffy room.

Nana, Thanks the encouragement is always welcome cause some times you really don't want to do the right thing, you just don't want to be the guy doing the wrong thing, if you know what I mean.

RIFF, Rabbits (insert joke about Trix cereal here)

Just Juli, I know what your saying. In real life I ignore and avoid until pushed. I usually just figure meh, who cares what you think and go on. I am reminding myself of that here. (That just because it is words on a page doesn't mean that real people aren't involved)

Sally, sometimes you have to start a fire to clear the field but you have to put the fire out to plant it.

G'night all. I am going to bed a happier man having gotten rid of the negativity.
BTW I'm not really a Christina Aguwhateveritis fan but I thought the lyrics were appropriate. If you get a chance go to the Tube and watch the actual vid. It is visually on topic too.

Okay I found the real video and changed it because it is so appropriate to the whole rigamarole going on here. Watch it and see.
Monte's a good guy to listen to. Chicago Guy too. I missed what there was to be missed, but you show a graciousness here that is nice to see.
not to change the subject, but christina aguilera is totally hawt.
Humility is a much greater characteristic than hubris, but there's an unfortunate lot whom don't seem to understand that.

Also, I completely agree with the Cap'n.
Tijo,
Well-done. Would that we could so effortlessly delete some of the things we've said, or done; or the things said and done to us, eh? Maybe someday, when we're all cyborgs.

Best, rated, Jim E.
incandescent, yeah I kind of feel the same way.
Sandra, Yeah there are some voices of wisdom around here it helps balance off the one's who have less of it like me.
Cap'n and JM She's okay but did you see the cute guys kissing?!!
James, yeah but then there would only one person standing at the end of the day whoever had the fastest trigger finger to hit the delete button.
PHM, Bless your heart. I hope you do know what that means in the south.
