"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."

Many thought he was outshone by his brothers, that their light shined brighter. But his shone longer, became a beacon and a guide, a light to work by late into the night. His was a liberal light, generous and kind, lighting the way for rich and poor alike shining where others did not deign theirs to be worthy. It will require many of us to take up our own lights to brighten the darkness you have left behind.

He loved this country and devoted his life to serving it. He always believed that our best days were still ahead, but it’s hard to imagine any of them without him.”
