Got a cold for Christmas
not what I expected
Came in on a bus ride
or maybe it was
the drinks from the night before
The night before Christmas

leaving the bus behind

to dump this sludge

is stuck in high gear
The hot coffee tastes good

Are the holidays still
filled with surprises?
I'm convinced
If only the damn heater
in the car would warm up
faster
I'd travel until the end
of this cold
If only I could locate the
place then I would
return my gift
