Snoreville has an interesting post of the UN (Un) declaration of Rights.

Napolean and Snowball couldn’t have worded it any better
Not to steal Snorevilles theme, but this is the problem when any Political Body decides that it may “Grant” RIGHTS
By doing so, it tacitly “grants” itself the power and “RIGHT” to deny them.
As they used to say of Mousy Dung “You know, his farts smell just like Strawberries!”
Why am I reminded of "Sound and Fury signifying Nothing?
Wonderfully admirable sentiments
Notice the payoff
Article 29
1. Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible. ( We shall of coourse determine which “dutes” you must undertake in order to fully develop your potential)
2. In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society. (which we shall determine)
3. These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
Article 30
Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein. (and of course, any dissatisfaction you may ever feel about how we administer your “rights” will be defacto evidence of your conspiracy to engage in activities aimed at the destruction of the rights and freedoms set forth herein)
Contrast with the US Bill of Rights, which recognizes that certain "Rights" are inherent to the nature of a Free Human Being
NO "Rights" are granted by ANY political body.
And hence cannot be denied because it was determined that:
3. These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations
Has anyone yet stated clearly what those purposes are beyond "World Government?" (Universal Dictatorship of the Proletariat)
Can’t happen here? Just think what someone like “George Bush” or “Sarah Palin” might be capable of if armed with the powers granted “The United Nations” in this document.
L’etat? ce moi-
On the other hand, George Soro's farts smell of fresh mountain pine!
