I am the NRA

Rate: 4 Flag

This is kind of a Rorschach test

Having stumbled on Team Fortress 2 while pondering the current state of video games, violence, and humor

as I put forth in "Viewer Discretion Advised"

I find myself watching the various creations of people in this community with the same eye for the joke and lesson in violence that I had for Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner.

I kept seeing this guy that reminds me of me, or one of my fantasy "mes"- so this is my "Class" if I ever take to playing TF2:

So- what does that say about me, and about the stand of people like me in the NRA?

Just curious.

PS- Could have been a  Witch

As a Coda:

Update:

The problem with such an attitude is that it took me awhile, but I finally did figure out that way too many of the "avatars" heere are taking this way too seriously.

Mama Cher's Home for Wayward Girls

Spent the afternoon watching “Burlesque” with my wife

It struck me as a sort of remake of Cabaret with a happy ending.

Cabaret is a favorite Movie

as now is Burlesque

I love Burlesque

Life may or may not be a Cabaret, but is certainly Burlesque to anyone with a functional sense of Humor.

I'm going to have to give up typing this blog- I just cant sit and do the corrections and painfully slow typing anymore-   still waiting for the hip, feeling more and more like it's soon going to be both

I'm going to try some alternate ways of doing this, maybe Speech recognition, maybe youtube video

just found an old Photo and scanned it- me in 1966

From 1966 to 1976, believe it or not, I was a dancer

This is “Old Man River”, Thats me “Lifting that bale”

Didn't even remember it was Super Bowl Sunday until I logged in and saw the news about the Blackout.

Pondering the circle of life in the times I've had in New Orleans,

Mama Cher's would be a great name for a Burlesque house there

What I once could do on either the Football field or the stage.

Life is a cabaret.

Hard to hold valhalla  when it becomes overrun with conscientious objectors, hard to play football when the marching band refuses to yield

At some point you sit back and relax and enjoy the music-- Butg it isn't good for anyone to think that what their doing is "Football"

Reminds me of our so called "Constitutional" Government "By the People"

Too cool for school. My stoney face muscles have never been stretched this far....I'm smiling!
I've got to shut up. Sorry. What an idiot I am sometimes.
Steve- feel perfectly free to smile! I'm not sure why you might think I would ?take offense ?
[r] Not at all fun for me. I like cartoons and games but ... creeps me out considerably as did the rap song link. witch game, too. I do feel there is something dangerously adrenalizing and velocitizing to it all ... testosterony? Experientially psychodramatic in a dangerous way.

But better gaming and video titillation than actual shooting I'm thinking if it comes to that. or becoming a drone pilot. But the high of the hit and the kills or implied kills -- that titillation. Primal. Easy and dramatic graphic kills without the reality especially afterward of in real life blood spillage and spirit snuffing out. Just feel the romanticized macho man killing sensation. Identify with a cool killer. Not a healthy identification. Not cool in my eyes. The sensation is seducing a person into desensitization.

Look at our hyper-masculinized society that is so anti-feeling. Most American women leaders -- those who break through glass ceiling -- mimic the men instead of bringing in a heavy stress on humanism and empathy and diplomacy. The paradigm shift from patriarchy power and control and competition winner take all to partnership and cooperation and diplomacy and humanism.

Dear God, look at Hillary! She stridently threatens other countries -- accepting with America now only tool in the toolbox is a hammer and everything outside us is a nail! (Except then Hillary goes wimpy as do they all with Israeli administration.) She's a patriarchal game player. Popular yes, but a transformative leader? Nope. She is a cog in their patriarchal system.

Take care.

best, libby
u gotta play 'plague inc." *shudder*
