Bio
I am a simple man who has lived a simple life for sixty years. I have not dined with movie stars nor Kings and Queens. I have not walked the halls of power, nor have I been a mover and a shaker. I have, however, been a soldier, a tinker, a jack of all trades. I have raised five children....I have been loved and I have loved. I do not see grand designs nor do I chase afer them. Instead, I listen to the heartbeat of the land and I rejoice in a bird's song in the morning. Do not come here seeking answers for I have none. I do have questions which I will ask you constantly though. I do not believe in aruging so Politics will not be discussed in my blog. I do not care what your personal beliefs are for you are free to believe as you will...please allow me to do likewise. I have never been rich, but I have always been poor. Being poor however has never stopped me from feeling rich. I feel rich because I have the love of a good woman. Melinda completes me. She gives me the peace of mind and soul required to write about life without regrets and without envy of those who might have more. She is my world. Almosta Ranch is our heaven and we are happiy. This is what I want to share with you in this blog.

Merry Christmas from Almosta Ranch

Rate: 33 Flag

On this, the day before the day before Christmas, I thought I would send you all season's greetings from some of the "kids" at Almosta Ranch. They all have their own Christmas wishes it would seem......

Booker, on the Left and Sadie on the Right:

Booker: "Hey, do you guys see that? She stuck her tongue out at me. I want a new sister for Christmas, one that ain't so mean!"

Sadie: "Pfffft"

resized

Sherman: "I want a new toy that's not so furry and won't hug me."

Sherman and Cat

Billy the Quarterhorse: "I want Torman to lose weight before he rides me again!"

L White Saddle on Billy

Addy, the Billy goat: "Hey! All I want for Christmas is MORE nanny goats. I'm down to only two females on the ranch so you guys need to tell Santa to bring me a few more.....where's da love, man!"

goat

These are just a few of our animal kids on Almosta Ranch and we all join together in wishing each of you a wonderful, peaceful, and loving Christmas.

Time in Ice Storm

Oh and my wish?  That this Christmas doesn't look like last Christmas....as seen above.

MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIENDS.....WE LOVE YOU ALL!

A heartfelt bark, purr, neigh and bleat to each and every one of you. And Merry Christmas to you, Torman, Linda and your families. May God bless all of you.
Sorry, I meant Mel. Don't know where my head is today. Forgive me.
Merry Christmas, Torman and to your entire menagerie.
Awwww...sweet!
You know Sherman's my favorite...but big hugs to all the creatures!

Merry Christmas Torman!
xoxoxo,
Dear David and Mel, Thanks for this inside view of Almosta Ranch. I love it and you two, too. Sending you beautiful moments this holiday and lots of hugs to go with it.
(I've never seen a "Christmas bleat" before; good on ya, Donna!)
Ohhhhh! I am an animal L-o-v-e-r! This was such a treat into your world Torman. Thank you! Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Talking animals? That doesn't seem to work withjmy dog. Any pointers?
Fun piece. R
Merry Christmas Torman! Love the pictures and hope you and Mel have a great holiday.
Love to you and yours, Torman. Thinking about you this Christmas.
Donna...LOL..I love the "Bleat". Oh and don't worry, Mel's family all call her "Linda" but I am the only one that calls her "Mel". I guess we are both right since Mel and Linda are both part of "Melinda".

Skel....Thanks and I hope yours is a wonderful Christmas too.

Spotted_mind.....Tell you a secret: Sherman is also MY favorite, but then daddies are not supposed to have favorites are they.

OM...Thanks and I hope to bring you more glimpses inside Almosta Ranch in the future.

Sparking...If you love animals, then you are in the right place. Our seven dogs, three cats, three goats, and four horses all wish you a merry Christmas.

John....Oh animals do talk espically dogs. They have their own language and we just have to learn it and listen.
My Christmas wish is your Christmas wish. I hope you get the weather you want. In fact, I hope you get everything you want. add to that joy.

Merry Christmas to you. **
What an original greeting Torman and Family. Mt cat Selimand I reciprocate all your wishes. I am partial to Addy- being a goat sign myself. . .

@John, of course animals talk ! And what's more, thet never, ever make no grammer misteaks neither.
Quite a fabulous family, all the way around . . . much love this holiday season!
Merry Christmas to you ALL too my freinds.
And a wish for a better new year
More photos would be much appreciated, Torman. That's quite the menagerie you two've got going.

In the meantime, stay loose and have a cool Yule. By that I mean Merry Christmas.
Some fine animals. Are the two dogs Rat Terriers? Scanner was a black and white one. Smart dogs! The Palomino is just beautiful. Merry Christmas Tor, to you and Mel and all your animals!
R~
You are lucky to have such great pets. I only have a penguin in my house visiting from Saudi. At least the weather is compatable to Antarctica. Kirsty likes to see the snow through the window, but is not too keen on the temperature. Seasons greetings from all of us.
Merry Christmas Tor, Mel and animal clan! I sincerely hope you all have a peaceful new year. x
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Torman.
Monkey.....And I hope and wish the same for you too, my friend.

FusunA.....Here at Almosta Ranch we are all about the animals.

Smithery.....Thanks my friend and may you have a peaceful Christmas too.

Frank....You are in my thoughts as I continue to read your story.

Harvey....Merry Christmas my friend.

Owl....Never a dull moment around here. Have a great Christmas!

Lunchlady2.....here's hoping you and I both have a better year.

Boanerges1....I will be using many more photos in future blogs.

Scanner....Glad you asked. Booker is a Chaweenie which is a cross between a chihuahua and a weenie dog. Sadie is a Jack Russel mix.

John.....Welcome to my blog and I gotta tell you, you have your hands full with that dang Penguin.

Kirsty....Hi girl, you have been missed around here and it's good to see you again. Have a wonderful holiday.
Give Billy some sugar and tell him to stop whining.

And Merry Christmas back at ya!
Lovely and enjoyable post.. Merry Christmas to you and all your babies..
Merry Christmas to you, Torman! I know you've carried a lot of burdens in recent times, and I know it can be hard to hold up under the weight. But even the most casual OS observer knows that you have a heart the size of a mountain and enough character to hold it up. The two of you are always in our thoughts ... and we so very much value both of your contributions to this little community. you inspire us all.

ok first, there is NOTHING cuter than an animal sitting there with its tongue sticking out. i love that!

and all the rest are adorable too. but if we could get one of them all sticking their tongues out, that would be alright with me.

merry christmas to you, too, dear sir.
And a Merry Christmas to you and Mel, David. Although the scene is beautiful from last year, I remember the treacherous ice lurking beneath the beauty.
Kathy....May you have a wonderful Christmas as well my Friend.

AHP....Aw he is such a baby! Truth be told, he is the one that needs to lose a little weight.

Fireeyes24.....I am very glad that you enjoyed it and I hope you have a good Christmas as well.

Rod....Thank you so much for the kind words and it means the world to me that you still drop by to read my blog.

Janie....Getting a picture of them ALL sticking out their tongues would mean that I was able to get them to do anything on command and I tell you right now....THAT AIN'T HAPPENING! They have a mind of their own.

Walter.....you are so right, as pretty as the snow was, it just hid about two inches of ice that brought trees down all around us and caused me to have to spend many days in the dark and cold.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. :)))
May you and all your animals enjoy a peaceful time and best wishes for a much happier 2010. It looks just like your photo here at present - covered in snow but not as pretty.

Hope you've hung up all your 'kid's' stockings.
and i love you, too. what a lovely zoo. merry christmas, dear torman, to you and all your people and critters.
Sadie's cool!! ;)

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!!!

Loved the pics, Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I see what you mean! Merry Christmas, T!

Call me dense, but I just figured out the name of your Ranch. A little slow on the uptake over here.
Merry Christmas Torman! My husband just loves the name 'Almosta Ranch'. Urban dwellers ourselves, he said he'd like to live on Almosta Farm...maybe someday. Thank you for sharing the pictures.
What a beautiful family! When can I come to visit and ride your horse?

:)
