She is an absolute treasure and she is the reason I get out of bed every morning with a smile on my face, no matter how I feel.
She is a kind and gentle spirit to whom people and animals alike are drawn to. I have watched in disbelief as complete strangers engage her in conversation in the grocery store and tell her their life stories and I have watched, equally bemused, as she approaches horses whose owners can not control and seen those horses stand quietly as she handles them.
She came into my life by accident in 2000 and married me in 2001 and has enriched my life and taught me life lessons everyday. She taught me to build bridges, not burn them. She taught me the languages of animals and how to really comnunicate with them. She taught me love.
She is the most important thing in my life. Her name is Melinda and I refer to her as Mel.
She is my wife and today is her birthday and I thank God above she was born and she found this old country boy.
