As some of you may remember, a couple of weeks ago Almosta Ranch was blessed with the arrival of a litter of puppies. Though the pregnacy was unplanned and not something we wanted, we recognized that the fault was ours, we only had two dogs unfixed and they, of course, found each other at the wrong time....so we got puppies.
Here are the parents....Tater Tot, the mother and Velcro, our miniture Italian Greyhound, the father.
So now the babies are two weeks old. Their eyes are open and they are beginning to play and at the same time, learn to controll their little legs. This makes for some really funny moments for us watching them. A couple of the puppies have already made an impression with thier looks and attitude and we have given those extroverts names. The others have not yet grown into their own names but I'm sure they will come.
Here are the babies:
This is Bernard. We named him Bernard because he is the largest of the puppies and his markings are very similar to those of a St. Bernard.
this little girl we call: Houston. She got her name because of the unique markings on her head. For those of you who are football fans, you might recognize the image of the Houston Texans logo. I may have to keep this one.
Now here is the rest of the crew.....
And last, but certainly not least....the ever popular group picture...
And, lastly, on a personal note, I would like to thank OS management for making it possible for me to spend three freaking hours trying to post this. I did it in spite of all the Lots of Errors notices. Thanks guys, it was fun.
