Today, hundreds (but with the FOX TV filters, thousands) of people will march in cities across the country to protest President Obama.  Most of them will not know what they are protesting.

The talking points are confusing so many websites have suggested signage. 

They will scream about high taxes only 15 days after their taxes dropped.  Suggested signage: “Born Free, Taxed to Death”, “The Answer is Lower Taxes. Next question?” & “I Voted for Change, Not more Taxation”

They will call these protests “Tea Parties” as an homage to the great Boston protest against British taxes – not realizing the Boston protest was actually protesting the corporate tax cuts given to the West India Tea Company which allowed the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer.  Suggested signage: “If Everyone Paid Taxes … We Would All Be Equal”

They will Argue that the Government is the people while stating that the Government is against the people.  Suggested signage: “3 Simple Words: WE THE PEOPLE” & “It’s Your Obligation to Fix The Country”

They are protesting the heavy taxes on the middle class and the small business.  They seem to forget that less than 5% of tax payers will receive a tax increase in 2009 and the “Radical” suggestion that we revert back to the New Deal taxation will effect even fewer.  Suggested signage: “How about a 90% Tax on Congressional Salaries”

They will scream the government follows policies that the people didn’t want, forgetting there was just an election to determine which policies the government should follow.  Suggested signage: “Free Markets, Not Free Loaders!”, “I AM an American and I VOTE”, “Sleep? I’ll Sleep When Conservatives Run Congress” & “I Want My Country Back!”

They will argue about how their Rights are being trampled while screaming to take away the rights of others.  Suggested signage: “I Will Keep my Freedom, my Guns, my Money - You Keep THE CHANGE!” & “Impeach Congressional Socialists!”

They will scream at President Obama about events that occurred under President Bush.  Suggested signage: “How can You not Know Where the Billions of My Dollars Go?”, “No Public Money for Private Failure”, “Politicians Lied and the Economy Died!” & “Obama … Commander and Thief”

One suggested sign even goes so far as to say: “Honest Change for America: The Constitution”    They may have a point here  -  perhaps that is where they should have focused their attention…

But the best suggested sign of all:  “Knowledge is POWER – Ignorance is Weakness!”
