Does Torture Have A Statute Of Limitations?

Rate: 2 Flag

Because if it does not, then we can still have hope!  We can hope for change, not from President Obama (I used to Love saying that - now I am ashamed to have given money to this war criminal) but from the next president.

After learning that the Obama administration will not Prosecute anyone involved in torture the UN special rapporteur in Geneva, Manfred Nowak, said that the US has violated international law by letting them go whith out charges.

Violating international law with regards to Torture...  We should all be so proud of our current a past President.  What took over 200 years to build up, they took less than 8 years to destroy.  Countries around the world used to look up to the US - to the way they could rebuild not only their own country after financial devistation but other countries after the devistation of a world war.  Now the US and it's financial policies has declared a World War on Economics - and everyone lost...

We elected our own FDR, or who we had hoped would be, and he decided to keep the policies, and keep them secret, that destroyed the world economy.   Our FDR decided to free the torturers and in fact, made us feel like we found the killers and then watched the police let them walk out with a brand new gun...

I guess Nixon was right "When the President does it that means it's not illegal", in fact he didn't go so far enough - it seems that if the president says it's not illegal then it's not illegal...

There is no stature of limitations on murder and our torturing has resulted in over 100 deaths.

I am adding this post to the OS torture compendium I am building.
