We are finally home safe and together, and relieved. Time to begin the countdown 'til next Christmas. Only 364 shopping days left!
2009 kind of flew by didn't it? This time next week it'll be 2010. 2010!! I remember standing 4 or 5 feet from where I'm sitting right now 10 years ago at midnight... Decmber 31st, 1999. We were waiting on the great computer melt down that would cause the collapse of the universe. Midnight came... The year 2000 peeked in the window. The lights stayed on. The computer laughed at us and kept on working. So we raised a toast to the new millenium!!!
Well, time flies doesn't it. The kid that was six years old then is now 16, and the world we worried about that last day of the last century is worse for wear. Or maybe it's not and it's just my optic rectosis flaring up. You know, optic rectosis? Where the optic nerve becomes attached to the rectum thereby giving us a shitty outlook. Yeah I know. HAHAHAHA.

Many of you know we had a little storm last night. TrigX went to his grandparents on Mom's side and ended up staying the night since it was unsafe to return home. Even today it took him an hour to drive the 10 miles from there to here.
Here's some pics from yesterday and today.

Above is TrigX and his Momma's Daddy. He's a retired union carpenter and Viet Nam war veteran of the U.S. Navy.

TrigX and his girl cousins Amanda, Brandi, and Lisa.

Gwampa with Lisa and Brandi (someone found the flash feature). I include this picture because I didn't even know Brandi was pregnant... again! Funny thing is I remember the day Brandi was born. Sheeez..

Global warming is a myth! Otherwise this would be a picture of my palm tree grove. As it is we have a bunch of snow and it's 15F outside. But, these weather conditions make for perfect hot tubbing. And if your wondering... no, I'm not wearing shoes.

Boy wonder in the tub just before sunset this evening.

The colder it is outside the more enjoyable it is in the hot tub. Tiny crystals of ice and snow sprinkle down on your head as the fog rises off the 100 plus degree water. Hot tubbing in the snow on Christmas day. Sublime...
On to Happy New Years.
