Last November I cringed every time I saw another Thanksgiving post.
At Christmas, the plethora of feel good OS postings almost drove me to read a book.
But the SUPERBOWL, that is a holiday that warms my black little grinchly heart. Especially this superbowl.
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a Saints fan.
I'm a fan of the city of New Orleans.
That city just grabs me.
I love the people and culture, history and architecture, cypress trees and Spanish moss, live oaks and magnolias, slithering serpents, hot breath of 'gators, vampires and voodoo queens. Oh yes, the food... My God!
New Orleans has "moon medicines and jazz powders. Lucky root and come-together potent. Mojo cream and loa lotion. Hurricane drops, kill-me-not juice, coonass courting pomade and a special oil of midnight. In New Orleans there is no such thing as three in the morning. Morning starts when the sun comes up." But the Mannings do a shitload of good for New Orleans. Either way, New Orleans wins.
Ken, I know. Peyton is like a football robot. He just doesn't make many mistakes and get's better each year. The chink in his armor that I've seen in the past though, IS mistakes under pressure. If he get's knocked down as Much as brutally as Favre and Warner did he'll eventually cough up an interception or two, which could be the difference in the game. NOLA will get their points on offense too.
