WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR EXTRA HOUR?

Rate: 11 Flag

Fall leaves

In spring when maple buds are red,
We turn the clock an hour ahead;
Which means, each April that arrives,
We lose an hour out of our lives.

Who cares? When autumn birds in flocks
Fly southward, back we turn the clocks,
And so regain a lovely thing
That missing hour we lost in spring.

I don't mind this clock turn but when we go ahead an hour I cry for sleep. Lovely poem and picture.
I am just going to laze around...but I loved the poem and the beautiful photograph. Thank you.

P.S. Read your Inbox before reading my post :)
What I don't get is "who decides" that time should change. And doesn't it change at different times the past few years? who
are "they???"
that photo
had an effect on me
like the singing
of my colourful heart
Extra sleep!! :)

Beautiful words and pics!!
Already spent it sleeping this morning after being out late last night. =o)

Beautiful picture and poem.

Why Congress of course. Who else thinks they have the power to tell us when to go to bed and when to wake up?

Just wait until they begin regulating toilet flushes :-)
Unfortunately the dogs didn't get the memo on the time change so we were awakened at 5:35 a.m.

The time change always comes the first Sunday after Halloween. The candy companies are behind this. I would have prefered not to set the clocks back.
Excellent wisdom beautifully written. Great photo. R.
I wasted mine, sleeping As usual.
Did I miss an extra hour of sleep? No wonder everyone is acting funny around me..... goes to change clocks.
Well that's one way to look at the time change!
Unfortunately, I don't get, or lose, that hour.
Nice photo choice too!
