Dreams of Heaven
I picture blue azure,
sparkling specks of shooting stars
across the water -
Sun warming, enveloping.
The sting of its intensity on
my chest, arms, tips of my toes.
I’m in heaven.
See the sails of the tiny ship on the horizon?
Floating as if suspended on angel’s wings.
Not a care in the world,
that ship, nor I.
From the balcony below
peek poppies and white lilies, roses, violets and red valerian,---
brilliant colors that only augment the
blueness of the sea.
I shall travel to heaven one day soon,
but will live to tell about it.
Right now it is only in the eye of my mind.
In pictures I’ve seen - in dreams.
Dreams of heaven.
