It's Snowing!

Rate: 21 Flag

April 6 Snow

Just thought I would share this with all of you who are posting about  "Spring".  I took this picture about 15 minutes ago (9pm Pacific Time) of the snow under the street lights from my deck east of Seattle.

I must admit I'm a bit confused.  Is it really April?  It's been snowing for three hours now. Oy!

April 6 2011

I must say this is a far cry from last week in Tucson!

Happy Spring!

Snow in April in Seattle! wow What intriguing photos too. Brrrrrr.
Yup. That's spring alright. We on the east coast just finished three days of it and we're looking at two more for sure with maybe a bit more just for icing on the cake. If this keeps up I'm going to have to get some "woolies n' ear muffs" for the Easter Bunny!

;-)
.
Snowing here too, and according to the weather map, it's supposed to snow off and on at least through next Wednesday. Spring always makes me crazy. I love snow in October and November; in April and May, not at all.
Trilogy, it is headed my way on Saturday, wunderground says an 80% chance of snow for us ..I am worried because I think that I heard a hummingbird at a client's house today..first one of the year..deep breaths, lol
Don't you just love global warming. Who's getting the warming part? :) -R-
"Oy!" is right! But I love these shots--the darkness and flash whiteness!
Yuck. My only word for snow.
Beautiful photos, but, as JD says, enuf already.
What was it Edna St. Vincent Millay said: Spring comes babbling like an idiot? Or T.S. Eliot: April is the cruelest month. No doubt,Trilogy, they'd both tell you to head backto Tucson!
Nice, unusual pictures. Still doesn't make me like snow any more.
My birthday is next week and I remember several school closings on that day. One year we spent my entire birthday in airports because Denver's airport was closed! I was with my family so it wasn't terrible!!!

Seems there's strange weather everywhere lately. We have a delightful spring day, but I have known it snow as late as June.

Hope it clears away for you soon.
My friend in Seattle was just as shocked. It's been threatening us here, off and on, these last few weeks in Oregon.
Condolences...though that is a gorgeous photo!
Oh, this is wonderful!!
Trilogy, wow! I'm virtually sending a nice hot chocolate to you! xox
Marlene, I think the t-shirts that say "Seattle" on them with rain drops falling from the letters can now be supplemented by t-shirts with snow flakes falling from each letter!
Definitely not thrilled about the snow in April, still those pics are gorgeous!
I loved this post---your image transported me!
The photos look sort of like ultra sound images. Is some lady preganant with a tree? If so, ouch!
Hope you got to feel a little sun on your shoulders later this week! Isn't this weather beyond bizarre???? Love you!
oh wow. those are positively ghostly. I love them
