Walk a Mile in these Shoes

Rate: 20 Flag
Or at least take a walk on the wild side in style
Meet Kobi Levi an Israeli shoe designer who creates wearable art
.
The inspiration for his "sole-ful" creations comes from everyday objects and the natural world. He has made shoe sculptures based on everything from banana peels, kiddie slides, ducks and even dogs for your dogs. The cool thing is you can wear his sculptures. So if the shoe fits, wear it.
Levi is currently creating sculpted shoe in Tel Avi. He has designed shoes for Chinese and Brazilian companies. Kobi Levi has a blog you can access here.

As a committed fan of creative yet sexy foot wear for the podiatrically adventurous woman or occasional crossdresser, I applaud this post.
nanatehay, you should run for office or at least chase more orifices.
I find it hopeful that someone can be so creative with such a mundane object as a shoe. It's good to know that creativity is alive and well, and not some guttering candle as it sometimes appears to be. Now if we could just be equally creative about some other things that could use a good tweaking!
Jerry, I agree. It is amazing what the creative mind can produce when it is free from social, political and corporate constraints. And like you, I would like to see that type of creativity applied to more serious subjects.
I'm not sure I could walk two blocks in those shoes, but they sure are whimsical. I think they belong in a museum, as much as on anyone's feet!
What a great imagination he has. I love them all.
Thank you for sharing.
rated with love
These are gorgeous and incredible and my heels hurt just looking at them. I clomp around these days in three pairs of vintage Docs, sensible, well made, comfy, look great with both skirts and jeans, but twenty years ago, I would have suffered to wear those!
I love this kind of creativity! It includes social commentary, a sense of humor, it doesn't have to be placed under a vitrine in a museum, it can be worn -- and it's sexy! Thanks for posting.
Fore-warned is fore-armed, so I guess in this case, fore-footed is fore-armed, too
Now are those slingshots, wishbones or a merciless turn of botany with untold benefit for the podiatrist? Son-of-a-gun! Spiked Ys!
Do they catapult the woman out with that slingshot when she's ready for . . . um . . . bed?
be still my heart. i would take painkillers in advance if i could walk for even an hour in a few of those pairs of shoes. trudge, you have ruined my sunday plans and this month's budget; i'm now hopping to get dressed and head to nordstrom's where a nice man will be holding my ankle and sliding a pump on my foot in about an hour.

oh, and i will admit a naughty giggle at the mental picture of an old fat guy wobbling around in a pair of tight boxers, belly like a basketball, and those naked-woman flesh-colored heels on his feet. great post!!
My sacroiliac is aching just looking at those shoes. I wonder what the wish bones signifies? My sense is probably has more to do with the watcher of the walker than the walkee.

Like Jeanette, I wouldn't get too, too far. In fact, I might have to 'trudge' in them a while before saying, pass the Blundstones.
Whimsical, colourful and sexy; hell its all good!
To shoe fetish people, this is a Triple XXX movie!
Wow those look like sling shot shoes. How clever.
They "used to" say "Shoe Designers don't like women". This may be Art but it's not wearable. How about a new creative Jock Strap! R
Matt, with flash and flesh.

Jeanette, Levi's work has appeared in galleries and on feet.

Romantic, I think these shoes were meant for you.

greenheron, you're neve too old to wear art.
Monsieur Chariot, they do embody all those qualities.

Tom, fore-shoded?

J.P. Hart, I think his dad is a podiatrist

Con, that was the intent.
Candace, budget schumget get thee to a shoe sale.

Scarlett, what's wrong with trudging?

M.C.S., I'm glad you liked them.

scanner, there is always something for everyone.
Algis, I heard they were use by David.

Marilyn, according to Mr. Levi, they are wearable. As to the jock strap, it can only be seen by whoever wears it.
I'm still waiting for someone to invent the kind that will allow me to walk on water.
Stolen from an old episode of the Flintstones?
Uplifting! Will forward this to my niece in Tel Aviv. Thanks for the smiles.
Margaret, coming soon to a shoe store near you.

Derrick, indeed it is.

tr ig, not quite.

Hawley, I'm sure she has heard of Levi.
my my my, the mick jagger and and on-your-knees shoes are spectacular. the coolest drag queens around the world are probably flying to Tel Aviv right now.
Kimura san, I'm sure they can order them through Levi's website.
I heard they were used by David...Thats great.I am just reading about him in Heaven knows! by Joseph Heller.
WOW! What AMAZING designs! THANK YOU for sharing that video! I'm off to check out Kobi's blog right now. Those are some kick-a** shoes! I think I'd get my girl Kelli the ones with the hot wheel shoes to match her car. Thanks again!
Aglis, I'm sure he wore them well.

Scott, if you buy her a pair, be sure to post them.
