'ocean inside': pellucid or diaphanous?
pellucid: that into which the eye can penetrate;
into which light is admitted;
objects are allowed to reflect the light (the photons).
diaphanous: the photons may pass thru that into which the eye can penetrate, but, there can be no reflection.
We, with sight, would go mad without eye penetration (a Bauhaus belief).
Tho mainly constructors, the Bauhaus are anti-translucency, and, they worship the physics of transparency.
