Hey, everybody! Come on in! Kick your shoes off. Grab a beer, wine, or soft drink. Join me as I proudly walk you through...the Momdominium!

This. This is what was there in the first place. Couldn't stand it. Cooked in that for 3 years when I lived here before. It was simply beyond depressing.
A couple of things I neglected to mention as I blathered on the walkthrough: Yes, that's a functioning sauna in the loft. There's an original Cartouche hanging over the fireplace. There's a dishtowel lovingly embroidered with Tony Bourdain's logo by Jodi Kasten hanging on the stove handle. And the fridge magnets are courtesy of Lorraine Berry (aka FingerLakesWanderer). Thanks, guys!
It's kinda grainy and overcompressed; sorry about that.
And finally, here's a shot that showcases Patricia's magnificent painting, "Imagine."

(is it impolite to mention how svelte you are?)
Terrific job with the remodel, I love your place.
You did a stupendous job, bravo! And you look fabu. How about giving us a link to the post showing the momdominium in its original state?

This looks like a perfect -sized, wonderful place. It is almost as nice as my trailer. Thanks for the tour.
The couch looks very comfy :)
Barry, awww. Thank you. And heck no, mention how svelte I am all day long. I've spent 10 months dropping 36 lbs and I have a friend who calls me "Skinny Bitch" now--I love her for that. :-)
Sally, the miserable photos of the place before the reno are on a computer at work, but I'll append them to this post tomorrow.
Thanks, lunchlady and Deborah. (Doggie stayed with Daddy, who has a yard. It's OK, I see him every Friday night.)
Jane, yes, copper sink! :-) Thanks for the compliment--I'd love to hear you speak finch.
Rita, yes, 5 minutes from the beach. Beaming.
Greg and Stellaa, the sauna is fully functional and I do use it. Me and heat are happy together.
Amanda, the backsplash is the same granite the countertops are made of. :-)
Cathy, so far the bedding hasn't come cascading down into the dining area, but that's only because I warn them before I'm about to do something sudden and noisy like grinding coffee. I just singsong "Hey pigs, it's about to get noisy," and they seem to get it.
Mary and Miko, thanks.
Ocular, what, your cell phone doesn't take video? ;-)
Thanks, surly.
Psyche, here. Have a glass of champagne while you're at it.
Thanks, Julie--opening up the kitchen to the rest of the space was mandatory for my sanity. I lived here for three years with those upper cabinets before and I wasn't about to do it again.
did you shoot this all on your Mac? tell us how!
Cell phone? My phone is attached to the wall in the kitchen. When people ask what the range of my phone is I tell them "as far as the cord reaches." I should mention that I hate the phone.
glad we're neighbors, sorta, and that you're in. and done.
Jeeze: renovations! What seems to have taken you a fairly short while would’ve taken me years to complete. Literally.
I hope it works out there! It was also good to see your Li'l buddies!
Femme, get over here. I've got an amazing French runny cheese from Costco that wants eating!
The momdominium is so quintessential Verbal... perfect!
I'm so happy for you, my sweetheart.
Best of all, I am now able to see your gorgeous face and hear your voice whenever I choose...miles be damned.
Love you
2. I love the colors--that light pumpkin mousse with the vibrant jewel tones of red pots/containers and the pillows in the living room--spectacular.
3. Your couch is decidedly not burgandy from this view. It's unabashedly purple. Royal purple. Another fabulous color with the pumpkin kitchen.
4. I actually like the old pavers on your patio. People around here would kill for that look in their kitchens and family rooms. They'd pay lots of $ and make up some story about its being the original floor of an old farmhouse or something. But I liked the wood floors you have now, too.
5. I noticed you made a verb out of OS. So Verbal Remedy of you. My kids don't call what I do OSing, though. They call it Saloning. Which sort of cracks me up, because it brings to mind a spa or sunning or something.
6. Thanks for the lovely visit. I do wish you'd offered us some of that liquor, though. A bit stingy of you to keep it locked up like that.
I see I missed your Birthday, oops. I hope you had a great Birthday, my sons girls was just this past Friday that was the 22 of Jan. It was fun watching your movie of your momdominium I wish you lots of luck, your furry friends are adorable. Your counters look great, as does your color scheme, so enjoy your new living quarters and thanks for posting.
I, too, love Craigs List. I have no idea where I would be without it.
Lovely place, the children look very happy & so do you!
:) I hope you enjoy many, many nights of karaoke and friendship there!
