I picked up TGWTDT (hi, I'm too lazy to type out the full title) from the library yesterday. If this book doesn't live up to all the glorious hype I've been hearing for the past year plus, I'll be pissed. The last time I read a hyped up book, I wanted to burn it and sue the author for wasting my time on his piece of shit book. (Do you hear that Junot Diaz?? I'm talking to you and your fucking shitty book about stupid ass Oscar Wao! I'll never get that week back!! Pulitzer my ass......)
I'm sorry...where was I? Oh yes, has anyone read TGWTDT? Is it as good as the masses say?

But I also loved The Brief Life of Oscar Wao but not as much as I love all three Lizbeth books.
However, I think there is a TON of extraneous history/material in the book. I find that fun and interesting but not everyone will. So skip those parts if they bore you, it is not needed for the main story.
Also, sorry about my rant on Oscar Wao. As you can see, I'm still pretty bitter about it. Haha.
