Benedict Obama Historically, giving aid and comfort to the enemy is frowned upon.  We didn't hang Benedict Arnold for such crimes, but we should have.

And, so, I wonder why there is not yet a move to arrest, try, convict and hang “national security advisor’ to Barack Obama, Tom Donilon.  Donilon is up to his ears in the leaking of national security leaks which have served to compromise and kill Americans including members of the Navy Seal Team which caught and killed Osama Bin Laden. (The ‘leaker in chief’ also may take credit for ‘outing’ the Pakistani doctor who assisted in locating Bin Laden in order that Seal Team Six might dispatch him as swiftly as they did. That brave man is currently serving a life sentence in a Pakistani prison for his help to us thanks to Mr. Donilon.)

The why of it is easily ascertainable. I believe that Donilon is not being arrested and prosecuted because he has been acting upon orders given him by the President of the United States of America. This is an effort to polish up the President’s namby-pamby foreign policy record. This is putting lipstick on the first Pig and it is being done to convince the American people that Barack Obama is one tough hombre with his eye on his “kill list” and his finger on the nuclear trigger. Good grief.

As reasonable humans, it is beyond us to seriously consider putting lives in danger in order that we might retain a cushy job. None of us would send our co-workers to prison in order to keep the paychecks rolling in. None of us would consider painting a bulls-eye on a helicopter carrying members of Seal Team Six in order that Afghani terrorists might more easily identify and destroy it in retribution for the Bin Laden raid, but Barry and his boy Donilon did.

As patriotic Americans it would never occur to us to insult and compromise our long-time ally Israel, but in the Obama administration, the Israeli connection is expendable. To announce – however covertly – to the New York Times that our partner in the cyber-attack meant to cripple Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons was Israel served to heighten Iran’s hopes of “wiping Israel off the map.”  This doesn’t begin, of course, to address what will happen to the brave individual(s) whose help was needed to infect the Iranian computer network to begin with. If those people are alive today, they are probably living in terror of the next leak from Pennsylvania Avenue.

This week a growing number of Senators and Congressmen in Washington are pushing for the naming of a special prosecutor to investigate and punish these crimes. Not surprisingly, given the probably source of these leaks, the Department of Justice and Eric Holder are reluctant to oblige Congress.  Nevertheless, they will respond to sufficient pressure. That’s where you come in, dear reader friend.

Today is a great day to contact your elected representatives in Washington and insist that a Special Prosecutor be named immediately to get to the bottom of these dangerous and egregious national security leaks. (If you don’t know who your representatives are, or don’t have their office numbers on speed-dial, look here for contact information.)
