Within a few hours we will know how much, if any, of Barack Obama’s signature legislation – Obamacare – will have met muster with the highest court in the land. Before nightfall, we shall see the Attorney General of the United States slapped with a civil and/or criminal Contempt of Congress vote. It’s a big day for the Obama administration, but it won’t matter much in the long run.

You see, Barack Obama and his lieutenants (like Holder) have demonstrated a total disregard for the system of government we Americans embrace. Obama is looking to be our Emperor and, so, these small setbacks inflicted upon him and his “fundamental transformation” efforts, will count for nothing. He will continue to do precisely what he wants to do until the day his little empire crumbles on Election Day.

Obama has no regard for the  Constitution of the United States and he has complete disdain for the rule of law. He enforces the laws he likes and ignores the others. When the other kids won’t play by his rules, he picks up his toys and does it his way after all. Fortunately for us, there is little he can do domestically which cannot be undone when Mitt Romney is elected in November.

Obama’s foreign policy, on the other hand, is taking a terrible toll on the respect in which the world holds this great nation. There is no longer anything formidable about the United States of America. We are far less in the eyes of our allies than we have ever been. We have insulted England and Israel so thoroughly that it will take many years to rebuild our diplomatic ties. We have demonstrated our weakness to the most barbaric regimes on the planet and, alas, it will likely take the use of a very big stick to bring the hoards back under control when Obama is finally taken, bag and baggage, out of the White House on January 20^th of next year.

Americans generally dislike the idea of having a King who rules by whim. That’s what that entire American Revolution was all about. The longer Barack Obama continues to behave as if he were the Emperor, the more disenchanted the citizens become. He will lose in November. Let us hope the damage he has done can be quickly repaired.
