Octo-Mom & Taxes

Rate: 0 Flag

Here’s a brief, but interesting tidbit:

Somebody from the California State Franchise Tax Board was looking at my blog entry: Octo-Mom & The Matrix. That state agency is the one in charge of collecting personal income taxes (and other taxes) for California.

Now, it’s just barely possible that someone who works for the CSFTB is fascinated by the Octo-Mom case, and reads everything they can get their hands on about it, even at work.

It’s somewhat less possible that someone at CSFTB is a fan of my blog and decided they couldn’t wait until they got home to peruse it. You know, sorta like my fans at Bank of America can’t wait until they get home, and purely by chance, hit on one of my blog entries about Bank of America, while at work. But, really, what are the odds? I’ll tell you, they’re pretty danged high against!

My dark, convoluted mind is getting ready to spew out one of its dark speculations. Leave now if you like your humor Shirley Temple style.

I wonder how many employees of the California State Franchise Tax Board have to spend their days googling “Octo-Mom,” and all variations thereof, looking for financial dirt on her? How utterly tedious.

That thought tickles my funny bone even more than the thought that all they got from me for their trouble was: “Just say no to the Kool-Aid, and mind your own business.”

Still, if my dark speculation is really true, at least they’re employed and contributing to the broken budget of California with their taxes. And in a way that doesn’t involve swabbing toilets or laying sod. So, it’s all good, huh? *she said with a smug nod of her head*hit counter for blogger
