Facebook Drama

Rate: 1 Flag

Have you ever had someone purposely egg you on and try to pull you into a fight on Facebook? My mother and I are “friends” on Facebook, and she continually tries to get a rise out of me. One of my friends once told me “Honey, Facebook’s motto is ‘A Place for Friends’ not passive-aggressive dysfunctional family members, you should just unfriend her already.”

And I would unfriend her, but it just doesn’t seem like it would be worth it. I mean, the effort of dealing with her reaction to me unfriending her on Facebook just seems like it would be too much effort. And I cannot bring myself to sum up the will to even care anymore. Instead I just don’t give into and sink down to her level when she tried to pull me into some drama.

Dealing with this is all too much effort.

You can hide people on Facebook, so while she is still a friend, you don't have to see her posts and she won't know it.
It's more she is commenting on my status updates and wall, but thanks for the thought.
It took me way too long to learn that you don't have to talk to your mother. Or listen to her.
