Can we transcend the hatred?

Dear Friends:

In PA the big news from my perspective is the last minute appeal to fear and hatred led by the Pennsylvania Republican Party.  (Ads about Rev Wright  http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/02/campaign.wrap/).  

My take on it is that it is desperate and divisive.

Anti-muslim rhetoric. Can we / must we stop it now?

My heart is sick and torn. My belief is that God himself is equally sick and torn as God watches us.
