I think of so many here often, but true too, I've not been here for many reasons: computer hell, going to India but the Consulate seriously f'ed up so I just got my visa and passport today. Two weeks late, during which I was trying to finish my book on "The Lottery Winner: Stories of Inherited Wealth."
In addition I'm moving again and rare this: Have had an active loving social life for a change. I really do think of so many of you often. Which suggests that once we connect it's actually not a matter of keeping up only, but we have entered each other's lives.
Maybe I'll write or read from India. I'm going to get Ayurvedic healing, as much as possible. Of course, I'll join others for pure fun but getting healthy is the motive.
Love to all here, and you who've seen India are an inspiration. The beautiful photos and other posts.
I leave tomorrow and as my Indian friend reminds me, I always travel with too many clothes and wear 10 percent. So am packing light and hope to be able to both hang with friends and be a good girl with the Ayurvedic meds.I tend to rebel which is absurd. I have to say I've never been so far away and if I find the right place to heal might stay a month. I miss you all. Truly, Truly-- love Wendy

Bon voyage!
Enviable as it may sound, the peripatetic life chose me. Everyday I do not have to back and fly is a taste of heaven. We are all, by my lights, creatures full of contractions, yes? no?
I hope you have a blast in India, and find the healing you seek. It's hot there already, mind the heat.
When you get home and unpack your suitcase, make two piles. In one pile put the clothes you actually wore while away. Then all the rest in another pile. Next trip take the smaller pile : )
So true! There are many people here who are in my thoughts daily, even though I've never met them or spoken with them.
Safe travels. Have a wonderful trip.
Travel safe, stay well, eat well, do well, tip well. Namaste.

As for heat Delhi is very hot but tomorrow I go to meet my friends who are up north in Shimla and every other day we'll be moving in a climate I surely hope is cooler.
Vivian, did you have jetlag to the max? I feel bi-polar because I cannot sleep more than 2 hours at a time but this too will pass.
I have to get to Shimla in the mountains as my good friend and her group of Italians (None of whom speak english) is awaiting me and jetlag or no, I must get going.
Kate the packing thing is so hard for me, but once here that is not an issue though i like your suggestion. As my best friend with whom I've traveled a lot (he was brought up in India)
reminded me: I wear at most 10% of what i ususally carry--and I did carry few clothes, a tiny victory. However I have two laptops, one of which is not working yet. And etc.
Vivian, you were here at a better time, climate wise, yes!
Tri-o-gy belated happy birthday and L'heure and Kate, you are two along of course with Deb and others (Sam) that I carry with me. Vivian of course as well.
Deb that is great about Ken's healing. Is there an ayurvedic md in Colorado? it so, wonderful.
And to Jeannette, you got the real nugget I wanted to come across. That we internalize each other even if we have those times when we cannot spend much time here. It's really quite amazing esp since everyone thinks you have to read broadly to know what's up. Well , there is truth to that but there is also the truth that if you spend hours here for a year or so, everyone you come to know, is part of your soul or so it is with me. Love to all, dare i say Namaste. (Trilogy i think this place is quite Pisces like but of course i'm only at the beginning.) And I wonder how long you stayed Vivian, i'll go to find out!
