I'd actually be in favor of withdrawing SCHIP to put pressure on those who think "children are the future", if I thought it would work. The future is nothing without the present to support it. The Cult Of The Child does nothing good for the USA, just makes some people feel better about denying the rest of us what we have worked all our lives for.

I'm mad as hell about being both "aged-out" of the corporate world and too young for Medicare. On top of that, I'm an actual organ donor, and being without one of my kidneys means I can't afford health insurance, even if I could find it. "Think of the children!" my ass.
