Bio
I Love dogs and cats, the great outdoors, and being politically involved, advocating for those who can't, especially the elderly and disabled, and protecting our planet!!! I miss my dog, a beautiful Chocolate Lab, named Bear, whom I had to leave in Florida when I went into the hospital in July of 2003. I left him with a neighbor, who had promised to watch him while I was in the hospital, and then disappeared off the face of the earth, with my Beardog. That was so mean! Bear will/would be 14 years old this year, July 6th, 2009. I Served in the USAF as a Military Working Dog Handler. Moved to Sheridan, WY (Again!) on Sept. 29, 2008, after living Buffalo, WY. since May 2005, and after spending a year and a half at the Veterans Home of WY, which is also in Buffalo. (And prior to that, spent almost a half of year @ the VA Hospitals in Sheridan WY, and Denver CO.) My advocacy there was not as successful as I would have liked, but I did my best. What they do to our aging, and disabled veterans is wholly inappropriate, and disgusting! God is watching over them though, so I have left them in good hands. I first moved to Sheridan, WY. in March of 1992, thru 2002, when I sold my house and moved to Florida to be near my parents. I came back to WY. on July 25, 2003 to enter the VA Hospital in Sheridan, WY. for physical, and mental health issues. While there, I was diagnosed with some neurological problems (An inoperable low-grade glioma in my left cerebellum, left pons, left peduncle, and medulla.)which causes me to be fully disabled regarding work type activity. The tumor is slow-growing, which is a plus, because if they remove it, there would be a major change in my quality of life, so for the mean time, I will stick with the status quo. I was born in Brooklyn NY, and I grew up on Long Island, NY. in Selden. Also attended college there, except for a brief stint at Wake Forest University. Most of my Family still lives back there or in Florida. I have 2 younger brothers, both married with some great kids. Rich (A year younger then me) is a Detective Sergeant in the Nassau County Police Department's Internal Affairs Division, and my other brother, Ken, has his own financial planning company, and owns 2 health food stores in Freeport NY. I have a sister, Deb, who is the youngest of us 4, and she is currently getting divorced again, and she has 8 year old triplets, Kyle, Matthew, and Nicholas. My other nephews, and niece are Jimmy, aged 15, LK, 18 years old, and his sister Nicole, 20 years old. I love Wyoming for it's scenery, flora and fauna, and some of the people. Wyoming is mostly a backward looking socially conservative state which still idolizes Cheney. They are also against gay marriage, (Equal Rights for All) and anything that sounds even close to being liberal, adamant teabaggers and closeted racists, and think our recovering wolf population should now be hunted as trophy animal and/or predators. Other then that there are some good folks here, and I know all 7 of them.

On December 9th 2010, all Senate Republicans, including our 2 favorite sons, Senators Barrasso and Enzi voted against moving the “James Zadroga 9/11Read full post »

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

First, let me start off by saying I am bias when it comes to issues regarding and having to do with the military, particularly the U.S. Air Force. I was an enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force in the late 70′s through February 5, 1980 when IRead full post »

Beck attacks me!

I found this interesting, because back in 1991, when I still lived in NY, I was doing some environment lobbying, and we were out in a neighborhood called Huntington Bay, which is on the north shore of Long Island canvassing.

I was out, walking around, knocking on doors and… Read full post »

Stephen Colbert just cracks me up at times. This is one of them. I am still confused how their freedom (The folks from NOM?) will be taken away. Military Working Dog Tribute!

After watching a tribute to Military Working Dog Handlers I found this video, which I found interesting, along with the music. I was a Military Working Dog Handler when I was in the U.S. Air Force in the late 70's to early 80's. We

The Equality State done itself proud, in a rare break from it's normal ultra-conservative reputation. Although it wasn't totally liberating, they didn't take 2 steps backwards.

Treason? Maybe!

What has been going on in Congress the last few weeks by the Republican minority is down right treason and perfidy. They do not hold the interests of the American people as a high priority. Eclectic electric!

My ultimate vision of sustainable mobility is two-fold.

First on the community side, I am looking for a mass transit system that not only works in urban areas, but also inter-city. Inner-city, urban areas, and suburbs could use various systems, ranging from an electric powered buses/trolleys/subway… Read full post »

Wyoming, The Equality State- Ha! Ha!

In the last post I talked about how visually beautiful Wyoming is, and I'm not going to change that opinion. But there is a dark side to Wyoming, one that they, Wyomingites want to keep behind closed doors, and one that they chose to ignore, all the while it is slapping… Read full post »
