My car thermometer said it was 103 outside when I left my job in Westwood today. The thermometer was down to 88 when I reached the beach. Not much cooling expected for tomorrow BUT

April 21 is Ben and Jerry's free ice cream day!!!

Go get a cone!

(I do not know Ben or Jerry or anyone that successful--or anyone who has that much ice cream of their own. I don't receive kickbacks or A N Y T H I N G -- not even cuts to the front of the line. But think of me kindly when they hand you your FREE ice cream cone!)

Yesterday and today were horrifically moist weren't they? (I hate using that word, because, really ... moist? Ew.) But that is the best way to describe it out here in LA at the moment. I think I'll stop by B&J's tomorrow for a free cone, but instead of eating it I'll probably dump the damn thing down the back of my shirt just to cool off.
