Congratulations, Peter. This is a book I want to read. Coincidentally I'm having a book-signing on the same day, at Twice Told Tales in Gloucester, Virginia. I'll be thinking of you.
What the rooster meant was that I'm the one having the book-signing in Gloucester, not he. Just wanted to set the record straight. Good luck with yours.
And on Sunday, at 4PM in Eugene, Oregon, I will be giving a reading of my novel THE STORY OF THE CENTURY at Tsunami Books (2585 S. Willamette).
Best wishes for your book-signing. We New Mexicans loved Dennis Hopper and thought he was like a native son. One of my favorite memories of the man was seeing him play a beatnik on the show Petticoat Junction. I admired his taste in art. He was a major collector as you know.
Congrats!

That same day, I'll be reading my fortune at a Chinese restaurant. And it will still be better written than Paust's book! Just kidding (about the fortune cookie).

Seriously, good luck with the book. Dennis Hopper is one of the more fascinating people of recent years, and I plan to read this. Too bad I'm 3000 miles away from the signing.
Congratulations to both of you. I'll be reading fortunes with Cranky.
BTW, there's money to be made in writing fortunes for cookies. According to Damon Walters they pay by the syllable, e.g. Smarty pants types get more wedgies, hah pays $9.43.
Savor the experience. There's nothing quite like it.
