The best kind of journey is the one that's unexpected. Loved this.
Duane, this journey is a real trip...
Several nice touches in this, Wordsmith. I particularly like "the unseen landscape" slipping by, unseen because unnoticed, unseen because not part of the journey; and the "tales of other journeys past" that will "weave into the future telling" of this one. Enjoy the trip!
Pilgrim: You're quite right—the landscape was entirely secondary to this one. And I do believe this journey is part of a longer one that will tie together past, present and future...
this is not the destination
just a moment
adding to the trip
to somewhere
on no map

Sounds like life. :-D

Excellent work, especially like the photo along with the text. It works well visually with the mind-image you portray.

Thumbed, highly.
Bill, this is the first time I have actually gone out and shot a photo specifically to accompany a piece I had written. I am glad you feel it worked...
I enjoyed this melding of pic and poetry - it works very well.

"Cutting through the unseen
landscapes that mean
nothing to this"

Yes - this :) I enjoyed your post, thank you.

dj: Thank you. It is always gratifying when someone other than me enjoys the things I do...
