Mother, daughter, writer, friend. Seen more than a bit of the world, but keep returning to the place I feel most at home. Have owned restaurants, documented software, joined a circus. Whatever I post here will probably fit into that fairly wide framework.

GORGEOUS! Like vintage postcards :) Love them!
I was just about to say the same thing - interesting subject and technique brought together to give them a vintage look.

Real good.
1Mom, Duane: Thank you both! These were something of an experiment, but I must admit I am quite pleased with the result.
BOOM - Front Page!

Ha!
Place Jacques Cartier is bustling with tourists at this time. I waa in Vieux Montréal just the day before yesterday. Lovely, Wordsmith, congratulations ! ~R
Very beautiful. I love black and white. R
It took me a moment before I noticed the bottom half of pic 3. These are beautifully executed. I love walking through Old Montréal -- it always feels like being transported to another place and time.
jali: I find that quite often b&w photos say even more by stripping away some of the visual noise. The 3rd photo is taken looking up a hill at a rather busy public square with restaurants, street artists, and oodles of F1 Grand Prix tourists.
Fusun, Sheila: Thank you!
VariousArtists: I have taken many of my favourite photographs in Old Montreal.
Good stuff. Lived there for seven years and just got back from a week's visit.

Go to my blog here for a little report from this great city.
These are lovely. Especially love the one of Pointe a Calliere, which is such a interesting architectural/archeological creation.
I used to live in Montreal and those are gorgeous photographs. You surely have a fine talent. Beautiful photos.
JohnB: I did indeed see your post last week. I appreciated its honesty and a clearly different perspective on this place I call home.
Juliet: I find that whole area is a constant source of photographic potential...
madcelt: Thank you. You are very kind.
Went there for my honeymoon and it feels like home to me. Can't wait to get back....if you can't afford Paris this year, go to Old Montreal. Love it!
