We were just at a city wide garage sale. Big yawn, very rarely do I buy anything. Then I saw an estate sale. The person liked truly good things.
Like a flash of lightening I saw a real Stickley rocker. Our house is an Arts and Crafts bungelow and we have furnished it with what appropriate furniture we could find.
It had the origional leather seat and it still had the paper tag from Stickley. The chair was priced at fifty. I wasn't going to bargain. Then the owner told me he had just sold it for $30. Look at the auction link below and see that this should have been $2000 - $3000.
Where did I go wrong to get this much bad karma?

lane---she was still there, that's how much i missed it by.
they're going to leave it in their garage then bring it
out on occasion as lawn furniture. I almost did an intervention.
beck---it is a terrible feeling. a museum piece rocker as lawn furniture. I once saw a violin being used as aa planter.
I think an intervention would have been very appropriate.
