Bio
I'm never sure how to present myself. On the one hand, my life has been an ongoing example of the "may you live in interesting times" curse since early fetal development -- if they made it into a movie, it'd get slammed for being unrealistic. On the other (luckier) hand, it takes true tragedy -- the suffering or death of others, human or otherwise -- to temporarily knock out my ability to see the absurdity in life and laugh at it. I would say more, but I have at least one ex with a need to web-search keywords so he can, um, "keep updated" on the activities of all the women he can find that have spurned him. (Well, we all need a hobby, I suppose.) You'll have to get to know me through what tidbits I share here-and-there in comments instead. :)

Short & WTF?

Rate: 0 Flag

This is short simply because it points out two things...

First, I'm quite happy to find that Open Salon will now grab posts off an RSS feed and share them here. Of course, whether Blogger's idea of a correct newsfeed matches Open Salon's remains to be seen.

Second, I just went in for the heck of it to plug my birthdate into my profile...and discovered the counter only runs from 1900 to 1976.  I'm really wondering what the logic is there, considering people born in '88 are legally of-age.  (I'm going to email support about it; maybe it's just a funny glitch for my account alone that's forcing the counter to stop 1 digit below where I need it.)

Okay, a third and final comment... In case nobody is living in the kind of "interesting times" that make things like this happen: it's painful to have a tiny moth fly into your eyeball and promptly expire. (Did I crush it with my eyelid or something?)  Thankfully, that was a week or two ago, and I don't see any signs of permanent damage -- it was revolting, but not harmful, rather like the time I discovered little roach bits in the powdered tea mix at my ex's place AFTER I'd had a few cups...
